Fake antivirus via simple misspelling bakersfieldcaliornian

Do NOT attempt to recreate this video. Misspell “bakersfield californian” on Yahoo Search and look what happens. Antivirus 2009 is a new rogue anti-spyware program. Like any other of its predecessors, Antivirus 2009 uses Trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo, to spread. Antivirus 2009 is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it. If the user agrees to download and buy it, Antivirus 2009 not only does NOT fix the errors, but will offer to take the user’s credit card and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer. Interestingly enough the virus is coming from vistasearch.org registered in Ukraine. Be safe, Billy ComputerWild.com

    Their goal is …
Their goal is typically to get your personal information such as credit card. Most of the fake antivirus applications will lead you to believe that you must enter in your credit card to purchase the full version which will remove all the viruses. It ruse seems to be working, because these type of rogue antivirus apps are becoming more prevalent. Don’t give your credit card information to any company you are not familiar with.

It also disables most of the admin tools like the task manager, which makes you have to remove registry entries and then go through and enable task manager, kill the trojan process and delete the files the trojan downloaded.
